Greetings fellow mouth breathers!
We've spent a long time dwelling on the idea of using Discord for Reborn Dominion. Teamspeak was simply superior in terms of management for our use (and arguably still is) and channel layout. It's been something Zen and I have brought up many times and kept putting it off. In general, as the gaming world evolves, Discord has taken more and more share of it. It's simpler and easier to use, and the drawbacks don't outweigh the cons anymore we feel. Many of you already use it too, and lots of pubs in games (especially the new generations who never used Teamspeak) start off with Discord as their only method of communication. The text channels are massively valuable, but I digress.
Today, we're happy to announce that we're officially supporting Discord as a chat platform for the community. You are all welcome to hop on and invite whoever you want to the Discord and play normally.

For now, permissions are server wide. Captains and above have kick/ban to start with. Permissions will be changing in the future as we figure out how to best moderate it. It's not a clear cross from TS, so we might fiddle with them as time goes on. Please, provide feedback.
We have to manually assign roles, so as you logon please type in the General chat channel and Zen/myself/Slayer/Nyx will assign roles.
Sidenote: We can do permissions per channel, which we may do with LTs as they are in Discord. Suggestions are welcome!
What does this mean to the Teamspeak?
The TS will still be up, running and managed. The systems will coexist. As a member, you can continue to use TS if you want, or switch to Discord. If Teamspeak is dead for many weeks at a time, it may be retired, but we're not there yet.
Can randoms join the Discord?
Yes, currently anyone can join. We do not have channels secluded from public view.
If I need help, who do I go to?
Zen or myself. We both receive notifications for all channels. Speak up in the General channel, or PM us on the forums.
I hate Discord, I won't use it.
That's fine, we're not forcing you to. Nothing changes from how things are today. Don't use it. We aim to provide choice.
